Q:
Nowadays, with our national economic developing rapidly, many universities and colleges have been devoting more money to promoting school infrastructures. So, people may ask that should sports and social activities have equal financial support as academic classes and libraries in universities and colleges?
My answer is yes.
As is well-known, young people should be encouraged to burden their horizons with more activities to embrace this world, which is the best way to get a clear perspective of what they are hoping to do with their lives and why.Students with such a perspective are usually the most efficient and motivated ones who can gain a competitive edge in their future career. Nevertheless, many universities in China do not have such activities to offer students an opportunity to adapt the society as soon as possible because of financial problems.
Secondly, activities especially sports activities are able to strengthen students' physical and mental health but also to cultivate their teamwork spirit.Several days ago I read a piece of news saying that a college student died after running for 1000m in PE class. He died for sudden cardiac death. In my perspective, he died for lacking enough sports exercises at ordinary times. If schools can devote more money to sport facilities and sports activities, he could have exercised more and he might not die.
Admittedly,as a student, our main responsibility is to get a good grade to make our parents and teachers feel proud. However, it is totally wrong to spend most of the day sitting in classrooms and libraries just reading, reading and reading.
In a nutshell, I believe universities and colleges should provide sports and social activities and academic class and libraries with equal finical support. cái này nghe có tự nhiên không?
