Từ giống với "Embark" và sự khác biệt giữa chúng

Q: Đâu là sự khác biệt giữa embark on và begin ?
A: ❶“To embark on” sounds like you are starting a journey that will probably take a long time. This is usually more literary and more dramatic, and it usually refers to long distance journeys.
❷“To begin” just refers to beginning sometime with no timeframe on how long in will be completed. This refers to anything you are going to begin.

—> it sounds like it is going to take a long time and will be difficult to go to, and sounds like you are going there for a reason. Also sounds dramatic.
I’m going to embark on becoming a true Christian.
—> this means you are going to learn how to be a Christian, read lots of bible, go to church. Sounds dramatic and sounds like you are going to be a true religious person and it will be difficult and a very long time until you become a true Christian.

‼️remember To begin is used for basic actions and to embark on and to begin are usually NOT interchangeable. To embark on is more dramatic and is only used for things that will be hard to do and difficult to do. Begin is just beginning something with no emotion attached.

For example:
❌ I embarked on making ramen
—> WRONG! This sounds like it’s going take you until the ends of earth to make simple ramen. If you say this we will think it will be hard and difficult to make ramen.
⭕️ I began making ramen
—> CORRECT! Because this is a simple action, it sounds natural to use “to begin”!

‼️You could say...
⭕️I embarked on a journey to make the perfect ramen
⭕️I began my journey making the perfect ramen.
Both sounds fine, because finding the perfect ramen usually takes time an effort to do. The first one just sounds a little more emotional.

❌ She embarked on going to McDonalds to eat.
—> sounds kinda funny, since McDonalds is really accessible and requires no hard work.
⭕️ She began going to McDonald’s to eat.
—> this means she goes to McDonald’s now to eat! Very basic.
