Why English is so hard to learn I mean I speak English but not fluently but still difficult for me like for example why in English people use the words up , down and over in phrases like pull over and so on right now I don't have examples with the words of up and down . but is not just that is a lot of things that make this difficult I've been studying English for years and like I said I speak it but not fluently and I'm tired of this . tell me ur experience how was it when you learned English it was easy or not ? and how long does it took for u to learn it?

Our spelling is stupid: rough sounds like "ruf", but it looks like "rowg."

There are a lot of reasons that English is a mess. Mostly because we're a hybrid language. English is basically a mix of Old French, Old German, Norse, Latin, and others. That's why our spelling is so weird.

You're frustrated because you're learning an irregular, ridiculous language.
However, English is good because so many people speak it and because of that, it's worth learning.

I don't know what your accent is like, but your writing is almost perfect! You may now be fluent but you know more than enough to communicate with other speakers, so be proud with how far you've come!
